Lucille Ball famously said “If you want something done, ask a busy person to do it.  The  more things you do, the more you can do.”  If that’s true, then Dr. Hans Kersten is the man for the job. A tireless advocate for children, Hans is a pediatrician at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and the medical director for the Grow Clinic for children with failure-to-thrive.

Paul and Lynda Hummer: A Taste for Art

If the kitchen is the heart of the home, then the kitchen of Paul and Lynda Hummer is the heart of their tree-lined Fairmount neighborhood. Spanning nearly the entire second floor of their spacious brownstone, the kitchen abounds with the special culinary equipment needed to turn out some serious cuisine.  However, it’s Paul and Lynda themselves who bring the real soul to the space.

Lynda is a homemaker and modern artist whose unique works of art fill the house, while Paul creates art of a different sort.  While his vocation is as a partner at Saul Ewing, his avocation is mastering a new recipe or recreating favorite restaurant dishes.
